NamBam Blades
Ones that left the nest
These are blades that have left home - the pictures are presented as examples of the variants that are possible, e.g., "Could you make me one like C005?" is part of the motivation for showing them. Besides I'm proud to have made them and an owner might just might like to share the image with his friends...

F001

Composite with 3 bars and an O1 edge, cast bronze habaki, throat ring & pommel. NamBam II with sabot. Balance point is ~0.25" in front of guard. Guard is nickel silver with vine filing.

Nambam 2 - copper habaki, cast silver pommel & handle throat ring with spiny lobster menuki and bahia grass seed embroidery, nickel silver guard with diagonal file pattern, display stand instead of sheath = "The Star Blade"

E036

"Bizen" = Nambam 2 - cast silver habaki & handle throat ring, simple mokume pommel, nickel silver guard with diagonal file pattern, wood sheath. The general shape and slimness reminds me of a friend's Bizen katana, hence the name "Bizen".

This is the first NamBam to be created. The fittings are cast silver and it resides in my personal collection.

A022

Nambam Series 1 - #2 - the blade turned out to be poor in edge retention and was replaced with my normal Damascus mix (at no charge - of course!)

A018

This was a wider blade that most -- just shows off the habaki more.
