'Nihonto' attempts
Over time, as I learn more, I'm taking tentative steps towards reproducing classic Japanese blades. The first (painful) realization is that I'm not trying to imitate the work of a much more experienced craftsman, but of a village of craftmen. That's life (and also the challenge).

Some of the items that have inspired me are fan-daggers and jigai knives

H028

cast silver with lion's head pommel, namban breakdown style

C020

Ebony stand and 'sword' bag included. Shirasaya is made from a single cocobolo piece.

A064

This is a replica Japanese fan dagger (1095 blade) - common in the Edo period - even if you can't carry your swords, you can always carry your fan. While differentially hardened, hamon failed to appear.
