Exploration of controlling raindrop patterns - 11 layer intial billet 1.5" x 1" x 8"- rolling mill to 48" - 6 pcs -- weld to 66 layers. Forged to 1.25 x 8 x ~0.45. Drilled on 1 side with 0.1 drill 0.3 deep at .35" x .17 spacing staggered. Forged out to 1/8" thick ~12" x 2.0 - saw in haft & weld to a beveled core,
